My question was, “Can I depict my interpretation of what it is to be a modern adolescent?” I portrayed my friend group throughout their senior year of high school and tried to capture what was important to them as individual people. This was a new media for me so it was all exploratory and learning. I saw my portrayal of fabric become more realistic with each piece. I also had to differentiate natural lighting from LED lighting using the same materials, which I had to repaint many times to get the right vibrancy and feeling that the moment had. Colors and objects had to be slightly changed from the real moment to capture the feeling and importance of all these moments over the last year of high school, senior year.
